Bathroom Renovations
Bathroom Renovations in the Des Moines Metro
A bathroom is the smallest room in the house and the least forgiving. Every surface meets another surface, and the quality of a bathroom renovation is decided by how carefully those junctions were planned.
We rebuild bathrooms for Des Moines-area homeowners to a scope agreed in writing before demolition starts. Tile, fixtures, lighting, storage and layout are specified together, so the finished room works as one piece of work rather than a sequence of decisions made under pressure.
Your estimate and your planning session are both free.

Before You Start
What to think about.
0 1
Decide the layout before you choose the tile
Moving a shower, a toilet or a vanity is a different project from replacing them in place. Settling the layout first tells you what your material budget actually has to cover, and it is the single decision that most affects the estimate.
0 2
A single bathroom home needs sequencing, not speed
If the bathroom being renovated is the only full bathroom in the house, the order of work matters more than anything else. We plan that sequence with you up front so you know exactly what is out of service and when.
0 3
Water detailing is where corners get cut
Waterproofing, slope, and how tile meets the tub or pan are invisible once the room is finished, and they are what determines whether it is still sound in ten years. They are specified in the scope, not improvised on site.
0 4
Storage is a planning problem
Most bathrooms that feel too small are really short on storage. Vanity depth, recessed niches and cabinet placement are worth resolving during planning, while they are still free to change.
How It Works
Six steps, agreed in writing.
Initial project discussion
You tell us what you want changed. We listen first, then ask the questions that shape the scope.
Scope and material planning
We plan the work and the materials with you, before anything is ordered or demolished.
A clear, written estimate
A detailed estimate built around your agreed scope and material choices. No hidden fees.
Scheduling
We agree the start date and the order the work happens in, so you know what to expect.
Execution
Careful work, a protected and clean job site, and clear communication throughout.
Final walkthrough
We walk the finished space together and address anything before the project is called done.
For bathrooms, the scope and material planning step is where layout, tile and fixture selections are locked in together — that is what keeps the written estimate accurate.

What homeowners say.
We are so happy with how our basement remodel and bathroom renovation project went with Tyler. He was very professional, knew what he was talking about, and had great communication all throughout the project. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for work to be done!

Questions
Bathroom questions.
Typically layout, tile, fixtures, vanity and storage, lighting and ventilation, and all the surface work in between. The exact scope is yours to set during the planning session and is confirmed in your written estimate.
You choose. We bring the planning — what works together, what the layout will allow, and what each choice means for the scope — and then the selections go into the written estimate so the number reflects the materials you actually picked.
We protect the areas we are not working in and keep the job site clean. You are told what is happening at each stage, so nothing about the week ahead is a surprise.
The estimate is built on an agreed scope and agreed materials, in writing, before work is scheduled. If something genuinely has to change, you hear about it from Tyler directly and in advance — not on the invoice.
